Logbooks?

Just wondering if any of you guys keep a logbook of hunts you make through the years. I started one a couple of years ago and unfortunately have gotten out of the habit of logging my hunts at different locations. I usually would make note of finds made, time of year and weather conditions along with the sights location. It's also a good idea in my opinion to keep a book with all the spots you have permission to hunt along with land owners name and number. It's neat to read back through hunts made over time and see what you have found over the years. This hunting season I'm going to get back at it and try to stay with it. I have a family member that has been doing this since the early 60's and it tells a great story of a dedicated relic hunter with hunts made all over the south! Pretty cool. But just curious if any others do the same.

I use to keep written records, but have found it better for me to do pics. I have a yearly file that I have hunts in. I just take a pic of that days finds. Mark

Cool that's a easier way to keep up with it. Gonna give it a try!!

Speed I never have and I could kick myself for not doing so. I look through my relics on occasion and find myself racking my brain on where I found this one or that one. There's a few that I remember the spot or circumstance but only a few. It's funny you brought this up. I've been thinking the same thoughts for this coming up season. At least putting my finds from each hunt in its on container and marking the date and where they were found.

Yea it's pretty neat to look back and see what you have found and where. Makes for good memories..:)
