Locations!

Ozzy, I think Allen from MI use to search around that Jackson county and did very well.I'm not going to do any hunting until the weather breaks.

hey ozzys angel, there should be plenty of good spots to go to near you. where you can go is bound only by your imagination [and the occasional no tresspassing sign.] you can figure that people have been walking the ground in michigan for hundreds of years, so i believe that just about anywhere you can put your coil to the ground is a good spot. a lot of people make the big mistake of seeing new houses, buildings and developments and think, "theres probably nothing there or even around there. ill go look for someplace that looks older." all ground is old ground to me. thats the wonderful thing about this hobby: you never know what youre going to find, or where. its up to you to fill in the "when" part for yourself, looking forward to your posts, and good luck! hh,

No, but I have been researching history on Lenawee county lately...I'm just starting, still deciding on a detector...

Grey Ghost has it right. I discovered an old house on the vacant lot next door in my neighborhood. I thought it had always been vacant. I am a general contractor and building a brand new 3000 sq foot house in a brand new subdivision. Turns out we are with in 20 yds of an old house place. We dug up some interesting stuff when we put the footing in. I found some old bricks there today and I dug up some old bottles a week or two back. All this in a brand new subdivision and within 20 yds of a brand new house still under construction.

Same for me, jd.

I work on so many different homes, and I never get out the MD.
Even when it's in the truck!

Many places I'm sure I would be welcome, but I didn't even ask at the historic Victorian homes!

Maybe I'll go visit them this summer. It will probably generate work for me!
