have anyone metal detect in old swimming sights or resorts that no one metal detect and how productive was it?
i appreciate your help
thank you

Yes and they are VERY VERY productive. HOWEVER you probably need to mow over weeds with your coil and that can be VERY tireing. I use 10.5 inch coils and it is hard work but the coins and rings makes it all worth it. That is one of the keys to a good water hunter. Do NOT let the underwater vegatation intimidate you. Lots and lots of rings have fallen into it and were suposedly forever lost.

If your talking about ocean or great lakes beaches that have no weeds I can only vouch for the great lakes. I have rings back to 1901 and coins back till 1866. I might have older rings but I have dates on a 1901 ring and a 1913 ring and 1917, 1922 and 1934.

I would not kill the weeds, I just flatten them and rip some out but they grow back.

If you have a lead, no harm at all in giving it a try.
