Local Parks

Took my nephew to the local park today. This one I don't go to much cause its even hard to find memorials. After starting at the entrance we worked our way back to the older part of the park. Imagine my surprise when the first coin out of the ground was this 1944 wheatie at the surface.

Was there another 1 hour and a half and was actually on the phone with a friend of mine, when I got a really deep signal, screen read 12-42... Dug and dug and at the 9 to 10 in mark,

that's it at the end of my digger.
Out comes this 1920D wheat, which btw is the second 1920D in two days at that depth..

. I gave a play by play... Lol
Well we found a few more memorials and he actually found his first wheat a 1954 with his Ace 250.
I did find two very old rifle cartridges deep, and this park is in town so makes me wonder...
Yesterday a friend and I went to another local park and did some detecting.
I found an Oklahoma tax token, hot wheels, some clad change, and a cool looking piece of turquoise jewelry. If you look close it has a swastika(good luck), so it had to be older than 1940's.

I beginning to love taking this machine to those old hunted places are like new again.. The excitement of knowing there is stuff there nobody has touched. Just hoping the Etrac stays a secret in my town. :detecting:
