Local Park Find

Hi,

I made this find at a local park but I have no idea who the image represents or the coins worth (if anything). It has a nice golden color on both sides (the rear view picture didn't turn out so well).

Your help in identifying this coin is greatly appreciated.

I'd lean towards North Korean. The military nature of the obverse side and the star on the left bar on the reverse side point in that direction. I did a quick search (about 2 minutes) but didn't find anything that matches it.

Those are simplified Chinese characters on the front, Peoples republic of China. Don't see a denomination and can't find a photo of similar on the internet. Maybe a commemorative token?

Thanks for your help. I also posted on the "Whazit" Forum and was told that it is a commemorative coin of "Ye Jian Ying 1874-1986". Maybe its worth something. Who knows? It was still exciting to find it.
