Local HS hunt(s)

Been going to this HS in my home town.. it's been hammered before. but from the looks of it, not in the last 5 years or so..
I have found so many newer quarters and dimes in the last 3 visits here..close to $14 in change.
Nothing silver.. a couple common Wheat Pennies.
But my 2 interesting finds.
A St. Patrick Medal. The front says "Pray for us St. Patrick." and on the back a Pic of the St. Patrick's Cathedral in NY.
Then last night as I was getting ready to leave and walk back to my car.. I hit a solid 12-47, and thought. "Why is a Silver quarter only an inch deep?"
Out popped this Silver Aquamarine ring..

Nice finds Russ. Thanks for the pictures. That is a lot of clad, as well.

Sweet ring! Those are always a nice thing to see in the hole! The Minelab E-Trac is super hot on anything silver.

Yep. I've taken the threshold pitch a little higher frequency, not much, but now the silver screams when you hit it. I just need to find that old place that will have the seateds and barbers. I did take it to a Mid 1850's old farm house, and went there 3 times hunting, took my time, regular multi tone, 2 tone ferrous, and nothing but a Crotal Bell, Silver war nickel, and wheaties and farm junk metal.. I thought for sure I was going to find Indians and possibly seated coins... but never did..This place was not big and looked like they were very poor. This guy's grandfather had a Cabin and it's up the road aways.. I got permission to hunt it this spring. It's so grown up right now you could not even start to detect. It's in a woods down from the farm house. We'll see what I can find from that place. Will go there as soon as I'm able to dig in the spring.. no ticks, chiggers and mosquitos..

Beautiful ring!!! Great find. Thanks for sharing your story. What part of Ohio are you from. I am from northeast Ohio.

I'm from the Dayton area, very close to WPAFB.
