Local Get Together Nets Tokens

Gonehunting

New member
Today, Emmit (Ace 250), Joemoto (ATPro), Caprock (MXT), and myself(Etrac) got together for My bright idea to hit the local lake beach... Well that was a waste of time. So we headed over to a local park Joemoto and I have been finding old tokens. Running my favorite 2 tone ferous program with 1-1 thru 38 and 1-48 thru 50 x'ed out to take care of iron falsing. I rang up the first old coin of the day, a 1944 Wheat cent right at the surface.

After that everyone started scoring. I'll just say everyone found tokens today.
I found a 50 "In Trade" token. It came in at 12-48 at 8 to 10 inches. It has "50" on both sides with no other writing. *It appears to be one of the first payout tokens for stimulators or early slot machines.

I also found a very corroded Woodman of the World token. It came in at 9-42 at 5 to 6 inches. Can't read the state of origin on the bottom, but it has Commander Fraser's pic on one side and the stump on the other. Someone had made a necklace out of it which was common for these tokens.

I also found several memorials, 1 quarter, a piece of a toy airplane, a brass knob, a small older style lighter, and a button withe the word "NODAK" on it. I also had three nonmetal finds: two marbles and a seashell button. Joemoto ask me to program Emmit's 250 to find the marbles. Lol.

Needless to say after leaving the beach we had a great time and ready to go again! GH
