Lobo

Quartzite,

I bought a used Super Lobo as my primary machine, good machine, very sensitive. My other machine is a MXT.

After awhile had a few issues so drove up to Tesoro factory (great service) and had them check it out....bad coil...everything else checked out fine.

Bought a new coil to replace the defective one + I picked up a smaller coil (for better sensitivity) locally (Mesa, AZ).

I was out a few weeks ago out beyond Stanton, AZ & was finding bird shot, tacks & staples (no gold though). Its to hot to go out during summer most of the time, you have to wait for a storm to cool things down or wait for the winter.

Hope you get a good used Lobo at a good price, I think you'll like it.....Great hobby....remember, don't get discouraged....You dig alot of trash to get to the good finds...(remember were helping the environment by removing trash)

Do you belong to the local MDing club in Quartzite? They have some great coinshooting hunts in the fall & winter.....watch out for a tall lanky dude with nickname C******* Bob, he's hell on wheels in those hunts.

hey quartzsite can i ask you what state you got that in and whats your setting on finding gold, that's the one thing i find myself having a hard time doing when it comes to detecting is finding gold any help is appreciated

I got that in Az. , I set my threshhold a little higher , A little louder and I cah hear the slight tones of small nuggets (match head size ) and I max out the sensitivity . There is not too much trash where I hunt , but I still dig up alot ! ( nails , pieces of screens ect. ) . But out in the desert , If it beeps , Dig it up . And try to hunt where gold has already been known to be found . Joining a club is a good idea . And you can learn alot from the ol' timers . Hope that helps , I am fairly new to nugget hunting myself .:detecting:

sounds like a blast well mainly been hunting the shallow streams but unfortunately i pick up alot of rocks with high iron content and old relic junk from years past, well if i ever get to AZ definitly will try the desert, thanks and good luck!
