LOBO vs. LOBO ST

If I'm looking for a gold detector which unit is better. I hear some folks going back to the old Lobo after using the Lobo ST. Any particular reason for this?
I have a MXT right now and considering purchasing a gold machine for my wife.
Thanx

Not sure why anyone would go back to the original Lobo, it was a good unit but the ground tracking feature of the LST plus the switchable modes make it a much more versatile unit. The LST also has more usable gain. The original is a 20 khz unit, has a manual GB 10 turn tuner which might be a problem for your wife unless she can really stay on top of it.. Plus now look at all of the factory coils that are available for the LST.. The Stock coil is 10" there is a 7" elliptical concentric and now a great little 5.75 to choose from, none of the coils will work on the old Lobo. I would really think about this one..HH...Geo
