LST goes deeper on gold rings after you get the 9x8 or 8 inch coil retuned by Tesoro to that coil for discrimination. Tejon goes deeper on coins by about 4 inches.I get about 8 inches on a silver quarter air test with LST, 13 inch on a heavy gold ring. I used a Tejon in Wisconsin with the stock coil and was digging wheat cents close to a foot deep with a solid beep.

Test it out with some gold rings and silver coins.If it air tests both rings and silver coins out to about 8 inches deep, it has NOT been tuned to the 9x8 coil and will need to be sent to the factory and you need to <STRONG>specify you want the LST tuned in the discriminate mode to the 9x8 coil.</STRONG> Your test results should be closer to what I am getting then, about 8 inch on a silver quarter, and 11-13 inch on a heavy gold ring. This is the only machine I ever used that would go deeper on gold than on silver, AFTER the retune. It is also my understanding that the machine comes standard with the 5x10 coil not the 9x8, that is normally a 150 dollar option.

are you getting 11-13 in disk mode
or allmetal mode?? i get 11-12 in allmetal
mode but this drops back to 8-9.???
