Has anybody noticed on the Tesoro website the Lobo ST has a new color and they change the battery check tone. They said the color was to go along with the new HOT detectors.

Not till you mentioned it. Looks like nice new machine now. Instead of being stuck in the 80's.

Same ole machine I have read elsewhere. Just a new color change so they can use the same parts as the "current" hot detectors.
Paint is probably now cheaper than gold anodizing. If you look closely at the website picture, you can see that it will now backpack easier and that
the rear armcup portion has two holes like the Tigershark. Add a couple spring clips and the Lobo can be rear mounted.
Personally like the new grey color better than the brown.
