Was wondering if the Tesoro Lobo Super Traq works well at finding coins, I realize it was made for gold but was just curious. Thanks! Steve

I'll Take LOBO any day Ski. Thats one unit that will find it all. Shame it was never made into a water unit lol. Only detector I ever ran that found me a diamond earring stud 7'' down with stock coil. I know guys use them for relic and park hunting and I have personally used the LST for coins and jewelry hunting on freshw ater beaches . loved it. Super sensitive .

Hello Steve,

I don't know for sure, I just got a nice used one and haven't had a chance to hunt it yet. But I don't see any reason that it will not find coins, it has a disc mode and seems to read all the targets I put in front of the coil. I have a couple of coins in my test garden at 7" and it reads them just fine.

Of course I put some small gold in front of the coil and it jumps all over them, even chains.

I think it is a lot like the Tejon.

Thanks Ron, I was reading somewhere that you recently had a birthday and want to wish you a belated happy birthday. Say hi to your brother Mark from me, it has finally thawed and warmed up enough to get out detecting up here. 41 degrees yesterday and suppose to hit 70 today. Hope you have a fun & succesful detecting season.

Thank you, appreciate the reply.

it does like tiny targets. I liked the one i had. Look for Keith Southerns post & video with the gb pot adjusted inside to get more depth in disc. His was hitting the 10" dime easy.
