Lobo ST finds and question

laynecarr

New member
Took out the Lobo ST this weekend and found the usual amount of clad coins and an old key. I had the threshold set at 12:00, sensitivity on maximum, and discrimination around 4. Here's my question: How are other Lobo ST users determining good sounds from junk sounds? I did notice the louder the sound the bigger or denser the object (soda/beer can, lead, etc.), but is there something else I should be paying attention to?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mike

I find higher pitches to be aluminum or trash most likely, I run the same settings as you but discrimination at 2.5 and dig all solid targets. If you raise your coil as you sweep and its till solid tones, then most likely its a good target. Also i find more of a squawk on trashy targets. If you slow your swing over targets sometimes you can catch different tones as well(i.e. double beep with high pitch is most likely a pulltab) It's kind of hard to explain but after some time you will get it. Sorry I can't think of much more to tell or easier ways to describe it. GL
