Lobo or Vaquero ?

David

New member
Hi, is the only differences between the Vaquero and the Lobo SuperTraq about $220 and also the Vaquero has a Manual GB and concentric coil and the Lobo ST has Auto GB and a Widescan coil. Otherwise is the depth about the same ? The Lobo ST seems to be the better choice between the two to me because of the Auto GB ? (A concentric coil can easily be put on the Lobo ST for coin hunting.) What do you think ?

The Lobo is about 1 lb heaver. The H.O.T. coils will run on both. The Lobo takes 8 AA, Vaquero uses 1 9Volt.

I had looked at the Lobo when I was orginally buying my Minelab. I will let some of the more versed Tesoro people go over the real differences, Beale.

Hay Duts,

Happy Hunting,

For what it's worth, I had an older Bandito and I didn't like the control box under the shaft. It was heavier to. I like the Vaquero. Never tried a Lobo.
