I have done a lot of reading in the hospital-supplied info I received, and have learned a LOT,about how not just junk food should be held at arm's length, but also the supposedly good stuff (in fact,EVERY TYPE OF FOOD AND DRINK)must be examined carefully for carb content, eating the right amount of different things, and NEVER overdoing it,in order to control your glucose.I found out this morning, how important it is......Last night (TOO LATE!!!),I got the munchies that always happens to me,5to7days into a weight reduction plan.......SO:I decided to eat some baby carrots(high in carbs, and I ate WAY too many!!!),with some peanut butter on each,(added sugar,,,),and ONE donut hole Jason made......End result was a reading of 210 this morning, yesterday was 196....... oopsie.........I had been coming down every day,and this has been a real good lesson I will remember......My Dr. told me a target of 120 to 140 is what I need, preferably on the lower side.....I'm not too far away from my target, and I have to see a dietician next Tuesday.I have LOTS of questions all written down.....
