[/img] All you have to do is twist your shaft to the left till that little nob on the shaft stops it from turning anymore .Keeps the back light off your screen and you can see it without looking over to the right. If your left handed twist it the other way . sube

Yes, I do the same thing with mine. It works great!

Hmm. Why on the good Lords green earth didn't I think of this? :|

Don't feel too bad, Indy...I hunted for the better part of 2 years with one, constantly lifting and tilting the grip/screen to the left in order to see the screen after ever tone hit.
But because that lifts the coil off the ground significantly, I had to be fast to catch the screen before it reset.

Only fairly recently did I have a 'Duh' moment while adjusting the coil. :)

I'm also of the belief that hunting the way sube's picture is showing, is lots easier on my wrist when hunting for long periods of time.

Note: If you've ever had to use a scythe, you tend to naturally end up with that grip angle.

Probably because you were too busy thinking about the green under the
Good Lords earth. :D

now all I need is some reddish cellophane for night blindness, paint the coil white and I am off to the races

Never thought of the scythe thing. My grand dad on my dads side didn't believe in wasting gas in weed eaters when he had plenty of healthy grand kids around so I got plenty of practice with one. When I wrestled in high school in the late 80's and early 90's I kept using one for the exercise and the raw physical strength that this type of work give a person.

I believe you are correct. I spent last year learning how this machine works. After months of use I have finally gotten to the point that the stuff these fine gents like Mr. Sube share with us make sense and I honestly get a little excited and forget common sense sometimes.

I remove the locating knob and it allows me to position how I like and to also to rotate the shaft 180.

thus coil cable in via the top and less damage to the coil and cable restraint.

win all the way round.
