Pulled a couple bullets. Another of the star carbine variations and one .50ish cal roundball. 3 of the guys I was with pulled out silver with their Etracs, first silvers pulled out of my little honey hole, so I have hope that it's there. Only one of them was out of my depth range.
That "Honey Hole" just keeps on producing for you. My brother-in-law lived in the Greenfield area when they were filling Stockton Lake years ago. My in-laws lived on Table Rock Lake for about 20 years. But that was before I started detecting and of course they have all moved to the "big cities". I keep thinking about all the great places to detect in those areas. Lots of history in your part of MO and it looks like you're finding lots of evidence of that history. Keep diggin em up!
By the way, what is the approximate depth range in that SW MO soil for your Challenger with the 10" coil?
It gets down around 6 inches on big bullets, just depends on soil conditions. Coins, I've hit a dime at 6 inches (just barely, little blip), not sure on quarters etc. never pulled one that deep. About half of the bullets that are pulled out of my "honey hole" are in my depth range.
Took a detecting trip with some of my club buddies to greenfield just a few weeks ago, had a good time.
