Little Gasparilla Island , Florida

Greetings,
I am new to this site. I am somewhat of a novice at md. I bought a quick draw 2 BH 3 years ago. I have used it off and on but would like to get out there digging up goodies more often.
For You pros out there I have a question. Have any of you ever detected Little Gasparilla Island in Florida. My wife and I are going there for our 27th year anniversary later this year and I am trying to find out in advance if there are restrictions on the island for md. I know it has alot of pirate history and the pictures look like paradise so even if I find only one pirates chest the trip will be worth it. LOL.
Looking through the Gasparilla Island travel catalogs is keeping me sane after working all day out in Michigan weather. Any advise would be appreciated.

I can't answer your question since I do not go to Florida. Where in Michigan are you? We have a lot of guys from MI on this forum that may be near where you live.

Might even be able to get out and do some detecting with them and learn alot while having fun.

Welcome to the forum and God bless you and yours. Congrats too on having a long marriage...that doesn't happen often any more.

Thanks for the welcome mat. I live in the Howell/Fowlerville area in Livingston county.
Marriage isnt easy, thats why its only with Gods help that we have had a long marriage.:clap:
How about a local question? Have either of You MD at Mears state park near Ludington. I ask about that park because according to the DNR website there are only five state parks where the whole park is open to MD and thats one of them.
Pray that the sun keeps melting that snow!!!!!

I did live in Lansing for awhile. We used to go to Howell on occassion. Step-Daughter's Dad lived in Novi and we met at Howell for a exchange location.

There are a lot of detectorists down in the South East part of Michigan...and a club down that way too if I remember correctly. Was too far away from Lansing so I was a member of the club in SW Michigan.
