Found this today, only find, anyone ever see one , also thought i'd show some of my better finds earlier this year , the barber dimeis a x-fine condition

The spinner is from a game called "Put and Take" that was very popular in the 20's and 30's. The games were outlawed in some parts of the country because of gambling concerns. To play, each player agrees on the denomination of coin to be used in the game. Each player places a coin into the pot. A player spins and does what the top directs - Take One, Put One, Put Two, etc. Play is passed, usually clockwise, until the pot is empty. As in most games, the one with the most money leaves happy!

I have also seen this called a draedel?. A Jewish kids game during the happy days a Hanuka. This must be the English version of it. The one had I seen had Hebrew symbols on it meaning the same thing that one says. Cool find.

Nice Barber Dime! I have only found a couple with that kind of detail left on them. Very hard to find coming from the ground in higher grades. Nice Half, Quarter, and Large Cent as well. Interesting Game Piece! Never seen one like it. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

I used to play that game as a kid. It is still a very popular game in Mexico.

Sides? mine was round. LOL And I think it was weighted so put was always was on top. My brother owes me some money!
Its the general idea of the toy not the letter of the design.

As the other fellow said, it's for that "put and take" game.
I actually have one of these somewhere that looks just like yours.
Was something I found as a kid at the grandparents house I think.
