Limiter circuit

Rob (IL)

New member
I would like to put a limiter circuit on my phones. What is involved? Anyone got a diagram? I'd like to see how they would work on my MXT. Shallow targets blow my ears away. Rob

Go to the link below and look at either of these patents: US4644290 or US4594559. This is the patent for the Depthmaster, a single transistor limiter circuit that prevents surface targets from blasting your ears. Build it in an aluminum case to prevent picking up the radiated coil signal. Use a short shielded cable from the aluminum box to the Metal Detector headphone jack.
