Limiter Circuit on head phones

D Wes

New member
Could some one please tell me a little about the Limiter circuit on head phones, will it affect the audio response in any way good or bad.

What the limiter circuit does is lower the volume on an extremely loud target. Such as an aluminum can just below the surface, so you won't hurt your ears. If you are hunting for deep targets and have the volume on your headphones all the way, so you can hear the faint signals. If you come across a large surface target it will help protect your ears. It only does it on excessively loud signals though. It will not affect the sound of deep or small targets though.
