Limestone House in the Texas Hill Country..............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
This old limestone house is located on a county road a few miles Southwest of Blanco, Texas. I estimate that this old house was probably built in the 1890's or there abouts because there are no gun ports that are common for homes built earlier. The walls are limestone from the local area, the roof appears to have originally been covered with cypress shingles probably from a mill down on the Guadalupe River approximately a mile East of the house. This house would be an excellent restoration project. Kelley (Texas) :)

Picture was taken using a Sony A300 DSLR with a vintage Minolta 28-85mm F3.5/4.5 lens. The sky was overcast, harsh lighting conditions. Settings: F7.1, 1/160 sec., ISO 100.
