CROCK of COINS

New member
Hit a kids swim beach with my V3 and "old" BigFOOT coil.

My coil works funny. At times the BACK half of the coil works when I pinpoint...then later the front half will work when I pinpoint :-|

When the V3 is put into analise...the BigFOOT can tell you if the target is under the FRONT or BACK half of the coil=kind of nice to know ;-)

I need to test the stones...BUT I doubt they are real.

Wet salt beach-RX 5, depth 3 inch.

It's always a nice day when you have gold in your scoop. Where did you find it in the wet sand or dry?,

The only issue I had with my BF and V3 was the BF did not like the Higher 22.5 Freq and all my targets optimized on the 7.5 Freq with the BF coil.

Real stones or not, it's a pretty ring and find.

Gold is gold, Jerry. Nice anytime, eh?

Going stir crazy and it's only been less than a week. I think God's lesson for me is PATIENCE. Just want to get back in the "swing of things"

CC WTG I wana do that???? Mic

Nice find, Jerry. Obviously that BigFoot is still working for you even though the pinpointing behavior seems a bit odd. Do you recall what the VDI was? And, if you did an analyze, was the 22.5 on top?

Again Congratulations,
Bob

Hi Bob, This is from another post:
>>At the beach Tue. I hit a target with low tone and VDI under 15.
I switched to "analise"...The 22.5 bar/line had a high hump! When it is foil or pull tab, it seams that two bars/lines are tall and close together. But this time the 22.5 was alone and the sound was solid.

The target = 14K small ring with 3 stones(?). About 3 inch deep-wet sand.

This was with my old BigFOOT coil. Lots of things to learn with this old coil.

When in "pinpoint" the front half of coil is live(normally) but mine can change to back half at times :-|

When in "Analise" the coil is live front and back ! ! ! What is cool is when you pass the coil over the target the screen gives the wave info...***Hump up = FRONT half of coil. ***Hump down = BACK half of coil
With an 18 inch long coil this is cool!

And if I forget to switch back to hunt...No big deal, the V3 still works and gives sound and VDI as normal.

Still learning;-)

OK Jerry!!!

Beach hunting is almost a dig all positive signals anyway. But if what you experienced works even part of the time in turf hunting, it will sure improve the odds of finding gold jewelry.

Great info,
Bob
