Like to see a new Ace 250....

I would like to see Garrett come up with an advanced 250 (NOT like the 350).
It would be nice to see another low priced 250 with a face place like the AT Pro that gives
numerical values for targets. I've seen the Delta 4000. It's very low priced but I think Garret
could do a better job.

If the 250 came with the Pro mode audio of the AT, I'd buy it in a heart beat. I actually like the 12 notch system and love it's standard coil! It's also a very good looking detector.

dont mess with something thats simple to use, highly dependable, has almost no problems, if it is used correctly! and the users manual is read and followed. There just isnt a greater detector on the market for its price!!! period> HH Wayne in Delaware

Funny you should say that. I was talking to a friend today and one of his friends has recently bought a Maserati. He just put it in for a service. It cost him $10000!!!! I'll stick with my Mazda 3.

Having an ID numerical value or AT Gold or Delta 4000 is not a problem for
any Metal Detector. It's not complicated. I just happen to like these better than
the face plate on my Ace 250. Just can't afford the AT Pro right now and I'd hate to buy the Delta 4000
of the fisher F-2. Garret in my opinion has always been superior to any of these other machine
in my opinion. Also, the Delta 4000 and the F-2 are really flemsy to say the least.
Garret could keep everything ther ACe 250 and 350 has and for a few dollars more change the
target ID/face plate. I buy it in a heart beat over any of the other brand names.

Most people eventually hunt by sound alone and never look at the screen as gold and silver can be all over the place.

I 'upgraded' to a delta 4000 from the 250. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I couldn't hunt anywhere near a power line with it because of EMF issues. I horse traded it to a guy who has used just about every detector ever made, and he had the same problems. I like the 250 enough that I bought a 350, and later an AT. The only thing I would change on the ace is the belltone. I still haven't gotten used to that sound, but as said earlier, you won't find a better machine for the money.
Just my pair of zincolns!

Been using my Ace 250 for 4 years. No problems with the machine. EMF interference is or can be a problem. Near airports I run into some interference from landing aircraft. Have found a toy cap pistol identified as a Stephens 1893, Seated liberty coin, Barber Dime, Rings ( gold silver and costume) many artifacts. Draw back has been wet sand beach hunting not so good so stay in the dry sand. (with good results, jewelry and coins) Just purchased a Infinium LS to go prospecting with and to do wet beach sand. Do not have any experience with this machine yet. Will go out this week-end.
Happy Hunting to All

It may take some time, but just paste tiny numbers above or below the segments on the screen. You'll see what we mean.

Being PRIMARILY a beach hunter, I'd love to see it be able to get splashed /overwashed by a wave (water resistant but not necessarily submersible). I would pay the price of a 350 for a 250 of this ability. I would get an AT Pro but I don't have the extra +$200. I love my 250 though!
