Liithop succulents/Living Stone

They are native of South Africa......i tried growing them for years - unsuccessfully ....i killed them with love....too much water... they are several inches tall, very soft to the touch and in their native surruondings the color tends to blend in with rocks/pebbles around them and thats how they manage to survive...thats about all I know of them....they do produce a beautiful flower (not right now)

Are these pictures of Liithrop succulents that you are now growing? Why could you not find out what the moisture requirements would be, then monitor the moisture content with a soil moisture meter? You have a interesting hobby. Thanks for sharing. Kelley (Texas) :)

Thanks Kelley......Yes, i am growing them...the round clay pot is on my front porch....i learned about the moisture requirements by trial and error until i found the proper amount. Im a little slow ;) so it took me a while to figure out that in wintertime i should not water as much as summer time...I knew not to over water during the spring and summer but its easier said than done - for me at least...i didnt start the cactus hobby until i was in my 30s...it sorta evolved from sticking a cactus in the dirt on the side of the house....i probably have a few dozens right down....some are the same of course....i just love those flowers.

Thank you much....

i stuck some rock around them that were of a similar color...
