Lightning strikes twice

Two years ago in December, I was hunting around a cellar hole and made the find of my lifetime. Never did I think I would do it again but last week I found another Washington Inaugural button, same type as before...Eagle with 8 pointed star. The second button was a little rough but there was enough to see what I had, although I didn't realize it until I was packing things away in the truck and gave the button a second look. It's not a "GW", but I'll take it. Ron

there seem to be a lot of Gw buttons come from up that way............ I was hunting with a fella last fall in Conn.and he dug one. Its nice to dig one.....but REAL nice to dig TWO. congrats!!!!

They are out there and mine are the most common ones. I know two other people who have found two up my way and another fellow that has one, all are with script.
My recent find looked like a plain flattie until I rubbed it, so I imagine some people have one and don't know it. You guys know to check all buttons, but a newbie might not. Ron

I'm sure there's a few kickin' around in some junk boxes......I remember a guy showing up at a club meeting with a GW one in his pocket with some loose change! :surprised: He had no idea. Or, when I took a newbie to a field & when we were done he said, "All's I got was this old round lid or something..." Turned out his "lid" was a GW with 13 states.....
I found a few interesting decorative buttons at cellar holes recently I was going to post, but nothing near close to that one. Mine are all flowery lately rather than military or political :(

Bill
