I spent three hours freezing my butt off in the water today and I have two pennies to show for my efforts and a mountain of trash. Two copper discs that are the remains of pennies would actually be more accurate. I did a spin at Wreck Beach which is at the base of Wreck Hill where the wreckers used to light bonfires after dousing the lighthouse light in order to wreck ships coming into Bermuda. They would row out from Wreck Beach and 'salvage' the cargo, plus any crew who could pay the fare to shore. It was a mess of mangroves and mud with a little skiff of sand over top. Nothing but can slaw and old copper ship spikes. Not enough to spoil yesterday's find but a bit of a let down just the same.
Cheers All,
