I have pretty much made up my mind about the SE PRO. I was reading posts tonight and I got the fever about midnight. I drove across town to my spot and went at it and didn't find much at first. By the time an hour and a half passed I had found 3 wheaties 1942D, 52D, 57 and ANOTHER Barber from about 9 or 10 inches down stopped at the gas station and drove home. The deep ones are a little harder to detect but now I know what I am looking for! that is potentially even better than finding the second Quarter! So I got the thing in the mail 08/26, the 1898 I found 08/27 and I found an 1892 on 09/01!
:jump:

Congrats on that 2nd Barber Quarter! The ID will bounce a bit more when they get Deeper Jason and you can't always go by what the ID reads, especially the Ferrous Content. Thing is to go by Sound first and ID second. Congrats on another great find. Your doing great and I'm sure you will be back there again and hope you find a few more goodies. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.

Congrats on the second Barber quarter - that's not an easy coin to find - it alluded me for years till I found my first. BTW, how the heck do you hunt at midnight?

dark...I was tired...and just decided to give a stubborn root one more nudge. Wrong move:smoke:

Nice finds Jason. Keep on diggin' 'em out.

good finds bud.

Hey, great start with that detector! I love digging those old quarters, got 2 since i received my Exp. last September. Thought I dug another yesterday, but it turned out to be an aluminum token, reeded, no less!
Good luck, it's just the beginning!
