Coast Guard Merrimac,is right next to the older light,i showed you. This light is the lower,frt light of the "RANGE" The light appears blocked,it is,but only on this side.Its also still active.Off in the distance in the harbor,you may be able to barely make out Plum Island Light. We are going there now!Side Note: The entrance to Merrimack River/Newburyport Harbor, is considered by many mariners,including experienced seaman,to be one of the most notorious harbors to enter.
