Lifetime warranty

Just wnated to point out that according to the Tesoro info, Lifetime warranty only applies to the original owner of the unit. So all those purchasing a used unit don't apply. Is anyone out there expecting a lifetime warranty on a second hand Compadre or other?

Also a lot of people carry their MD in the truck of their car. It specifically states not to do this. Most likely due to rear end accident but maybe there another point too, not sure.

Heat is not good for electronics. When it's hot I keep my windows cracked and park in the shade if possible.

The info says the original owner for business and legal reasons, Tesoro, Rusty and the Giffords have told several owners that they will service any unit they have ever made no matter who owns it, within reason.
Lots of proof out there over the years that says they do exactly that.

Shame that life time warranty doesn't stretch everywhere, I only get 1 year here in Spain and in the UK, wonder why?

But not complaining, the Vaquero is a great machine and all the Tesoro owners I meet have found them very reliable, but I wonder if something went wrong, would Tesoro take pity on us and fix things?

Even if its not under warranty they will still repair it for a fee?

Hi Revier, you got that right all the way ! I have been using Tesoro for over 25 years and at present have 8 Tesoros, a couple fairly new, mostly older(goodies),only 3 having been bought new and unused. Had only a few send back problems, but don't remember ever have been charged for anything other than my ship to the Shop. I have received tuneups and maint calibrating /whatever needed and all the while have been given different assorted piecy parts, battery doors, and replacement battery plugs, extra nuts/bolts/washers and never remember ever being charged for any of it. If it has a Tesoro Sticker, they keep it going for you and that makes for a heap of Happy Diggers! Tesoro has been treating their folks right since they first started up. That is fact, and too few people (Newbies)know the truth of it. Tesoro wrote the book on good customer relations and any old Tesoro digger will say the same. HH, Charlie

Well thats good to hear from people who had to send machines back and got things sorted, you only know how good a guarantee or company is until something goes wrong and they either sort it or don't, sounds like Tesoro are one of the good ones :)

If you send your unit in from any where, We will do the lifetime warranty. However, we will not pay for shipping outside the NAFTA countries.

Actually, thats very good to hear, post is a very small price to pay for piece of mind, thank you.

Regards

Phil
