LIBRARY DOESN'T ACCESS SANBORN!

Fishrgal

New member
I went to our library the other day and asked about being able to access Sanborn maps. They said, "What are Sanborn maps? I never heard of it". Then I went to the historical society. I asked them about Sanborn maps and got basically the same answer. I then asked if they had ANY old maps, Plat, Beers, anything that showed property of years ago. They didn't. So is there any other way of accessing these maps to do research?

Sanborn on the web now requires a library card!

What state are you in?

I'm in NY state, in the Finger Lakes region of the southern tier. I do have a library card, but the library knew nothing of getting into the Sanborn sight.

Maybe you can find something useful here:
The tenth link down might help.

Bob, I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me with maps of Mobile,Al. I am looking at the Whistler area. It is my understanding Andrew Jackson came through there while going to the Battle of New Orleans. Any help would be appreciated! I live in Mobile but I am having lots of dead ends...
