LG28 coil and pinpointing

I have about 8 hours of detecting on my Legend and things are really starting to click, except I really struggle to pin point with any accuracy, using the LG28 11-inch coil. At first, I thought I just needed to learn it, then I thought there must be a nearby target, maybe lag with the wireless headphone or is just the nature of the coil. I've tried various methods, detuning, raising the coil, Xing, sweeping to the tip coil. I'm generally 2-3 inches off. Can slaw always pin points off center.
I do just fine with the LG15 6inch
There's a YouTube video channel I watch where a group of guys use the Legend and they will sometimes miss the center while using what looks like the LG28 coil.
Anyone else sometimes have troubles with the LG28?

I have about 300 hours on mine now and probably half with the 35 (13.5") , a little with 6x8(24?) and the rest with the 11" and have had no problem pin pointing with any of them. There have been several times I pinpointed the "wrong" object with closely related items but for the most part it is spot on with location although the depth is a definite approximation. Things are either shallow or deep , the number of bars seems to have little relation to the actual depth. I am not sure how the pinpoint mode treats discriminated items if it is all metal , that could certainly throw things off with a co-located item that you have disced out in a custom program. 90% of the time I am able to get by just using the front tip of the coil and short quick sweeps.

Just take practice.
