Letter 'D' on a basic Etrex unit

While the unit is acquiring satellites, sometimes the letter 'D' appears next to some of the acquisition bars. Just what is the signifigance of the letters? Perhaps I missed that in the manual because I couldn't find anything about it there. Thanks for your help. Jim

"D" for "Differential" - it means that the WAAS data received by the unit include valid corrections for that satellite and that the receiver is taking it into account in calculations.
