do you all think it would be a good idea to note all the fe-co numbers that we have found gold at so that we can get a better idea of where gold is comeing in at?
the 14K ring that i found was a 12-1 and was strong and only one inch so i dug it where i normally wouldn't have.

That would be interesting but if the thread went long enough, CO 1 through 35 and maybe higher would all be filled in. Gold can come in just about anywhere up to a zincolin depending on size and purity.

The late 1800's early 1900's 18kt small wedding band I found hit a very solid 12-24 at 6-7inches..

12-35 on 10k mens wedding band, approximately size 10. Target was 2 inches deep in heavy iron, found it running combine.

Found a 4.1 gram 10k wedding band it came in at 12-28, also a thin 10k ring which was 10-31.
Air tested a few other 14k and 18k, they all came in 12-07 area on the 14k and 12-03 area on the 18k. Glad you started this thread, i've been tinkering with a Jewelry/Sabisch coin pattern. So far, i'm eliminating alot of the scrap, but its the foil and canslaw that you can't eliminate at all, I know its possible that i'm missing some gold, but the lower 12-01 to 12-12 is critical for the 14k to 18k. On a positive note, even with a fairly complicated pattern and moderately high mineralized ground, the depth on the CTX is still amazing, dug 2 pennies tonight at 7 and 9 inches. Has anybody else noticed that in bone dry soil the depth on the CTX is better than in damp soil, still trying to confirm that if we get any rain here.
