If you have edited an existing program, you can simply save those changes to the file name of the old one. If, however you want to save the old one like it was, and edit it to build a new one, you will have to use "save as" and give the new one a file name. When you save a newly created mode in XChange2,it should appear in the ALL file. Drag a copy of that program to the FILE category......then drag it from File to your CTX icon. (If you have already set up a Collection file, it should appear there). Make sure you don't turn off the CTX until after you've removed the USB cable, and the changes have been made in the CTX.
To "share" settings with a new program using the CTX 3030, select the Search mode with the Pattern you want to duplicate, make the other changes you want, use SAVE AS (instead of SAVE) and it will save as a new Search Mode.
If you're in XChange2, pull up the one you are wanting to copy, make the changes you want, give it a new name, and save it. Then you can download it into the CTX 3030 with a name on it instead of a number. Or, from XChange2, you can export the program with the new settings you want into your PC, change the file name via your PC and import it back into XChange2 under the new file name. Then you can make the other tweaks you want by using XChange2. OR, you could export the program with the new settings you want into your PC, change the file name via your PC, import it back into your XChange2, load it into your CTX 3030, select that new program, make the additional changes you want..... then SAVE those changes to that new program.
If you do a Search of this forum, you will find quite a few discussions regarding how to import/export programs. Here is a link to the one I took some of the above information from.... http://www.findmall.com/read.php?86,1765709,1765709#msg-1765709 Just pull it up and follow the responses.
