Lets see your best Arrow head find!

I found this one last year. It is the only one I have found detecting. It was in the hole with the target that I was looking for.

Here's one I found this Spring. HH Randy

Here is a rare find for me that I uncovered a couple of weeks ago assisting an archaeological dig for a museum in CT. It's a brass point made from European brass kettles and dates to the Pequot Wars @ 1637. I never found a stone point yet :( I will get a better picture as soon as it is conserved. I hope soon!!! Found with the E Trac and Pro Coil at 5" and is a tiny 1-1 1/2" point. It read shot gun shell numbers

Dang! You guys have found some nice points. Rog how the heck have you found so many? I have spotted just a few verry small points but that display of yours is very cool.

It is metal, and found with my detector a couple years back. Kept it because it resembled an arrow head. Any opinions or suggestions on how to tell? By the way, the graph paper in the background is 1/4 inch per square. HH Randy

A few of my Wintu projectile points

Goldfinds, very very nice arrowheads. Those with the very jagged edge ( serrated ) would have been used in war and left a nasty wound. Very nice finds

What a sad story. What the hell was wrong with the white man back then. these people were here first and we damn near killed them off. Stories like that just make my blood boil.

Hi sand n sea,
I am glad to see someone besides me has an interest like that. I have read lots of books about those that " were here first" and I would be a little carefull about judging what was done back then unless you were there as I would not be so sure as for what you or I would of been like had you been raised back then and lived in it. One thing is for certian we have lots to be thankfull for and we don't appreciate how we came into it.
