Let's Help Each Other Out

I think it would be great when people are posting their finds if they would also include what the machine's numbers were, how the machine is set up and what kind of ground conditions. This way we can educate each other on the Explorer. I will go first. Went hunting with AHunter at some parks in Western Iowa today. I had a jumpy 5-28, 9-29, 12-25 signal, but I was getting the high pitch pretty much every time from each direction. At six inches I pulled a small, flat piece of iron. Figured that was causing the jumpiness. A bit deeper I got a 1961 Rosie. My settings are fast-on, deep-off, gain at 9, iron mask 22, sens. 24 auto. Ground was neutral and very moist. I hope this helps someone.

Good idea just too many variables...over the 50 States a world of difference...individual settings (endless)....and even the speed of your swing has to be dealth in....
