I started thinking that just about everyone has pet and thought it would be interesting see pictures of them. It would be great if you told us about your pet too! I most cases the pet is more than just a pet, it is a member of the family. This can be fun, and I bet that your pet will enjoy having their picture taken. Kelley (Texas) :)

[attachment 309808 20140309_1150551.jpg] this was the greatest dog we've ever had...unfortunately we had put her down this week due to old age.. R.I.P. snookie... she gave us 13 wonderful years ....we still have her daughter suzie but i dont a pic of her stored in my coputer yet...thanks for letting me share....

to my dog named Sadie. Sad that you had to put her down this past week, but she will always be in your heart. It appears that I will have to make the same decision in the near future. There is much debate over whether or not dogs go to heaven, and I happen to be one of those that believe they do. Thanks for sharing the picture with us. Kelley (Texas) :)

Sorry to hear BHpa. Beautiful dog.

I am with you Kelley and your thoughts on animals being in Heaven.

No pics of animals for me as I have none at the moment.

Snookie has gone to Rainbow Bridge. Run free beautiful girl.

[size=medium]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thanks for all the kind words folks they are greatly appreciated, but i didnt want to turn this into an all about me thing ,so lets see some of your precious pets.... thanks again.

Now that's a strange combination for sure. Did you raise the fox since it was young? Very interesting and would love to know more about Mr. Ed Earl.

Around Oct. of 2001 this fox showed up at my house. It wasn't afraid of humans or the cats. It stayed under the house and each morning and afternoon I would give it a little dog food or lunch meat but not enough to stop it from hunting for food. I got it to eat from my hand. It loved pecans and apples. When my daughter came home from college for Xmas, this thing wouldn't let her out of it's sight. Where she went, the fox went, walking right by her side. I thing this was someones pet and they got tired of it and dumped it at the house as it was so tame. I think it probably was a woman that had the fox as it took a shine to my daughter right away.

I thought it was a male, at first, so I named it Ed Earl, a nice Texas name lol, but found out it was a female and renamed it Edwena. Stayed at the house for about 4 months and finally disappeared. Probably found a mate. It would even climb a tree next to the house and get on the roof and sun itself. My daughter had to leave to go back to college and came over to, so called, see me before she left, but I think she came to see the fox lol. The fox knew she was there, but she didn't get out of her car and the fox jumped on her car and waited until she got out.

The fox never allowed me to touch it, but my daughter could.

What a wonderful story and beautiful picture of the cat and fox together.

That's amazing Ron. Thank you for the story of Edwena. Just the idea of the fox and the cat in the same picture blows my mind. It had to be raised as a pet from someone. JMHO.

That was very interesting. I learned something too....didn't realize a fox could climb up a tree, although I've seen some videos of dogs doing it so why not a fox as well.
It's fun to get wild animals to come and be your friend for awhile but in many cases, as you said, they heed the call of the wild and they're gone....sad for us but something that was meant to be. Thanks again for sharing all of this!
