This artefact found on a Roman site but is not Roman, had several suggestions to what it is or possible part of.

The only part that could be part of a fitting is on the rear down near the bottom. It is possible part of a door knocker or ?

Overall height of item is 1.75 inches X 1.25 inches wide, cast bronze?
