LET THERE BE LIGHT.... scoop light....

Hello again all..

Living at a tourist beach, I do alot of my beach hunting at night. Well it can get pretty dark once you wonder away from a pier.

I have been using a light that I attached to my headphones. It works great, but I just wanted to play around a bit.

So I attached a strip of weather proof LEDs to the inside of my scoop. There is a push button and small battery pack attached to the handle. (you can see me pressing the button in picture).

I know...I dont expect it to last for ever. Just having fun.
The lights can go under water just not the battery pack and button. So if I wanted I could just move pack farther up handle.

I gotta say... It works great. quick and easy. and ALOT OF LIGHT.

Thanks for looking..

I'm like you and hunt a lot at night but a Nice light, bright too, problem is when you switch it off your almost blind till your eyes acustom to the dark again, maybe a blue or red even orange would be better, personally i don't use a light hardly ever, i wear a headlight but am very reluctant to use it due to the loss of vision when you turn it off.

Pretty slick! The concern of night blindness was the 1st thing to enter my mind as well.

Might help for future tinkerings... http://stlplaces.com/night_vision_red_myth/
