Let me ask a serious question, and you consider a serious answer.

I am reading a lot of drivel about a detector that is not advertised on our forum, nor do I hear that any of our dealers carry it. If Nexus is so great, let the inventor market it properly. Some of our people be allowed to test it, and make a report back to us. If this is not done, I consider any claim baseless and untrue.

...you make some good points and I wonder about the thing, too. As someone else said, it looks a tad delicate, and to be frank, I dont think I could swing that coil for long without laughing.

He/she should indeed solicict for testers and may have already done so, as far as we know. He DOES indeed need some testimonials from those in the know, whomsoever those "people" may be. That would add credence to his/her eforts

However, if the thing actually exists (it does look in the pics as if it could be a "graphic simulation"), I admire the brass of the maker, whoever it may be. Marketing a new product is no offhanded affair as you may be suggesting. If you've ever been involved with a new start up business, you know what I mean. Sometimes it's only possible, due mostly to budget constraints, to do it from "out of the trunk", as this maker seems to be doing.

I suppose we should wait and see - and offer to help test it, if you can tolerate looking at it, that is! Uggghhh. No offense, but it tis ugly!

I agree with you 100% I have thought if awfully brash to be marketing it on this forum anyhow. When I first saw the pics, I thought it was a Radio Shack brand or something. I don't think I would use this machine in the woods and thickets that we search in most often. I'd have that coil tore off on some saw briars in a south Arkansas minute.

Take care,

Kim

I just read the all of the posts in ref to this detector, and it may sound great and it could all be true or not !! hey, if they want to open up the U.S. market get a couple people to field test it and have articles written up in some of our magazines, pros and cons. they all have them !!! by the way, if you buy one of these and there is a problem, what 4-6 month turn around with over seas shipping??!! NOT !!
Just my opinion !!

If you'll notice, this NEXUS guy just started appearing on the forum a few days ago. It looks like he's trying to infiltrate all the detecting sites and use them as a marketing tool.
