I have a friend that lives in Tennessee...who metal detects and finds a whole lot of civil war bullets, I'm telling you he has a 3 gallon pail full of them, I've seen them...In Kenosha Wisconsin they are building a civil war Museum, and I asked him via e-mail, if would not mind donating just 10 of the bullets that he has found to the museum...to me I think he is pissed about it cause, he has not responded to any e-mails from me, he was wiling gave me 6 bullets while I was down there telling me to "take yourself a hand full if you want"

If all he did was throw em in a bucket thay are not worth a lot to him, It sure woud'nt hurt him to donate a few so that other people could see what the vetrans of the civil fought with so that everyone could live free as god intented....

Maybe his email or computer is down? He could be on vacation? Maybe an illness? I wouldn't get too mad until you talk to him. Call him on the phone and hear it from him personally.

If he's really a friend, cut him a little slack and assume there's a good reason he hasn't contacted you until you find out differently.

Fwiw - you might want to check with the museum cause I bet there a good chance you could get a small plaque or something for a display of his bullets with his name on it and where they came from - that might be a way to convince him as well if he's reluctant for some reason.

I bet there's a legitimate reason he hasn't responded.

if he is a friend he will give them , he probally isnt looking at email , maybe he is away or busy ........Now that you said hes being a DICK about it , he probally wont give them ........if hes your friend why call him names ??? just call the dude and say hey can you kick down a few bullets???

If you will send me a good address and proof they wont be sold i think i can find 10 diffrent ones to donate.
I use to give talks at schools and give them to the kids.
I have never sold anything Iv dug as of ye tand beleave me if i sold all I'v dug i could retire .
In my collection there are 23 buckles over 100 buttons and assorted things but I'v never been tempted to sell any ,of course if i did sell them it would save me 35.00 a year for a bank box lolololo
