Less than 5 minutes in the best spot ive ever found

im not going to name the spot but i went along for the family picknick, and after awile i went to a certian spot and in less than 5 minutes i found 4 quarters and scores of dimes befor the park ranger abrupty stoped me ,,DO YOU HAVE A PERMIT? ahhh what ? permit? YOU CANT HUNT NO METAL DETECTORS WHITHOUT A PERMIT o.k so that ended that it was the cleanist spot ive ever hunted . Du to the no littering , but i swear i was getting a qurter every 2 sq ft dimes all over pennys man i could not swing one time and thear was a coin but no trash the spot was loaded so im going to check into a permit but its 45 miles away so i dont know no wonder the coins are building up in that spot no one can hunt it but i had 5 minutes of utopia and found almost as much as when i hunt for three hours well back to my trash spots and pull tabs bottle tops and foil i felt like indiana jones getting close to the treasure and then somthing happens to stope me good weather 60 f no wind and sunny

If in a picnic grove it might be the kids sawdust coin hunts that were done some time ago.. Large outings would mix a bunch of change in with a big pile of sawdust or sand and each age group of children had a limited amount of time to find what they could..Damn I'm old!!

A permit is needed to hunt a state park for the day. No big deal, you just go to the park office of the park you are in and fill out your name and date, no cost no hassle. They should have the paperwork you need at the location. Good luck hunting!

I was an officer for 22 yrs, just retired last year, no matter what the city, I'm sure that there are more pressing issues than busting a guys balls about a permit for detecting! I could even see it if there was a fee involved and the State was losing revenue, but for a piece of paper that doesn't cost a dime? You should have smeared a little jelly on your coil and let him eat that...

ya i dont know why they made such a big deal of it i pointed out to the rager can you tel whear i just dug the last 4 targets he could not tell i said i know how to dig and not kill the grass well im not done trying the geiss can crap all over the park but i cant pick up some droped coins plus im good for the park i pick up sigarett buts tabs cans paper andy garbage i leave it better than when i came o well

Thats how I felt going to a newington spot where I live and the first 5 minutes were early 1900s wheats I am sure there is tons of old coins there........joggers stopped us and said to exspect company cause someone will call the cops on us cause it is forbidden to hunt here,,,,,so we left and as we went down road cop car went past us with lights on and speeding......guess we got out in time.....I so want to go back but too many squealers........cell phones are popular.....wtf....all I want to do is unearth lost coins before bulldozers plow them over and lost for good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN! WTF! I just don't understand?

why dont you find out who owns the land and try to get permision , who knows you may get it if you dont try you will fail for shure ask and it will be given to you
