I bought this digger and let me tell you it is an awesome piece of hardware, however 'm deathly afraid of hitting a live cable or wire so I decided to make a small modification to it which looks and works great and it just may save my life someday, lol.
I purchased a can of Plasti Dip, they have black, red, and yellow and I decided to go with black. Essentially it's liquid rubber in a can and is very durable and if you don't like it you can always peel it off. All I did was find an old tupperware bowl wide and deep enough to dip the handle in, poured enough Plasti Dip in the tupperware bowl and dipped my digger handle in. I let the excess drip off and hung the digger to dry in a non humid, room temperature environment. A second dip doesn't hurt either if you like more of a thicker rubber grip which I did here. I did use some black electrical tape at the base of the digger head shaft to give it a clean look.
Anyway, this is a little tip for everyone and I hope you enjoy it. By the way this particular Lesche digger cuts through some extremely hard terrain and makes clean plugs. I've avoided parks and such before I got this digger and now that's all I want to hunt because it makes digging a breeze.
Below are some before and after pics:
Cheers
