Lesche and Predator tools. What's the whole story?

I go to W&W manufacturing web site and they say they make the Lesche tools. I go to the Predator web site and they make the same tools. What is the story? Did Lesche sell his company only to go on and make the same tools under a different name?

I wasn't aware of that. I saw the W&W sticker on a tool and looked it up on the web. I thought Lesche made both the Predator and Lesche. Thanks for all the info.

am happy to know mr.lesche is still "cookin"!..been using a lesche since they was first made in '96!..in my opinion,it is the best damn
digging tool made, and i have used them all!..next best is the wilcox line!.been around a long time and still have the "standard" tool i used when i first started back in '77!,and just a terrific digger made of tool steel!

Hello Kenny!
I haven't a clue but they(regardless of name) are the best out there IMO.

Funny thing; I'd ordered two Predator tools off the Internet last week. The shipping charge for each was $10. I assumed I would receive two packages. Wrong! They charged me $20 for shipping but shipped the two items together. I tried to contact the firm via emails but to no avail. I probably won't order PREDATOR TOOLS again. Thanks for the other link; I'll check them out.

I checked out this link but it does appear the products, compared to Predator's are not the same?

You have to click on the products menu then go to the nursery tool section. There you will see several tools that are the same as the Predator tools including the digging knife we all like. It seems that xxxxxxx has about the best price on the Lesche digger. About 39.00 shipped.

Hi, I bought an old Lesche tool (around 199:geek: and my friend just bought a new Lesche tool (in 2007). My tool has lasted since then in our rock infested New England ground. I am not gentle with my digging tools!!! My friends tool already bent the tip over. He was not happy. Spent almost $70.00. My guess is the steel is not the same grade or the temper is different. Am I glad I got the REAL LESCHE! And I believe that someone mentioned that there was a three year warranty on George Lesche's digging tools? That warranty is useless because you won't break them in six years (or more), let alone 3 years. Thank you Mr George Lesche for such decency in producing a great tool. I will be buying a new tool myself soon. George

you don't need to buy a new tool!..your tool is quite adequate even with a broken tip!

i just got one to day, been looking at them ror a year allen at okc ok sayed they wore putting new handle on them i wanted the old handle so i got me one before he ran out of them.

I have the crusader of predator tools and its a fucking killer. I love it. And it has a compass, a compartiment inside in the handle that is waterproof, and it can become a spear, a knife if you sharpen it and a weapon for sure. In fact i detect on the night on my city and i feel safe because i have it. 100% recommended its never enough!

Its like a lesche but longer and better in many ways. Look for it!

From what i recall George split with his wife, but she kept the company and the name.
He then started predator tools

if they cost $10 to ship 2 in the same box may be $20 since the shipper charges by weight. some people aren't good at answering e-mails try calling them.

I have owned both versions of the lesche diggers. I made a post about their comparisons. a few years ago.

Here it is.... http://www.findmall.com/read.php?31,144699,144699#msg-144699

I have been using the predator tools digger for years now (since 2005). I like it very much. I like the longer handle it has & the orange color of the grip (easier to see/find IF I dropped it).

George lost the rights to his name in a divorce? I believe. So he started predator tools. They are made in the USA.... If you want the old original Lesche tools you have to go with predator tools.
