LESCH DIGGING TOOL MY OPINION

I,v been strugling whith getting a lesch digger for over 1 year and finally got one and ive taken it out several times now and i would say its woth the 40 bucks it cuts the thickest tughest grass you can throw at it and it works great at digging the 0-4" targets welll , and can poke into the hardest soil i also use it for gopher trapping i dug a gopher out of his hole whith it and just about cut him in half when he came barraling out of the hole it can cut thru the sod whith ease and when i set the trap i grab a bundle of grass and cut it off whith the knife i did modify it i put smaller serading on the left side for cutting thru sod but i du love it i use my 18" trowel for deeper more stuborn items when i need a little more pry power and then i have an 12" salid tongs for picking trash of the ground and digging deep kinda like a mini post hole digger

I have the knife, but one I could not live without is the Sampson Shovel ball top.

Make a three sided cut and pry a hole 4X4X4 plug folded back. I now can use my hand to go through the sod while putting the dirt back in the hole, or go deeper if a need to. Once finished, the sod just folds back over the hole with minimum looks of a hole. Very easy and fast, once you get it down.

I have used one for years and love it. Never had anything that would do better.

I have the Predator tool hurcules model shovel. I really like using it. I have just about stopped carrying my Lesche knife. The shovel will dig a plug or flap. I also find that my wrist does not hurt using it, Beale.

The two I have are the Lesche All Purpose - T Handle shovel and the Sampson ball handle spade (it's like a trowel with a long handle)

I own several of George's tools. I have the famous hand held one, and also have the Raptor. As far as hand held ones go, I favor the standard hand tool over the Raptor. But anyway...

I have been using the Predator e-tool for several years now and love that thing. But I got my wife the "Samson" for the lighter weight. Well I started using it when she didn't go with me and really liked it. But I wish the handle was longer. Lo and behold I found George had made some special models with longer handles...enter the Dixie shovel. Same head as the Samson but with a longer handle. I ordered one a couple weeks ago. Well I waited on it to come and it had been a little over a week and it still hadn't arrived. I sent George an email about it and he got back with me that same day. He said he didn't know why but for some reason my order had been missed and the shovel not shipped. He apologized and said he could have it in the mail the next day or give me a refund. I went for the shovel. Here's what kind of service you get with Predator Tools. George mailed the shovel on Saturday morning. It arrived at my house on the following Monday. That was FAST!! I liked it so much I ordered another one.

Need something longer, but our rangers absolutely throw you out if they see a shovel.....Might be able to use something like you explain if it's like a trowel...thanks

Hey Elton the blade on the Dixie and the Hurcules model shovels are 4 1/2" hide by 7 7/8 long. They are not much bigger than a trowel, Beale.

After using the Lesche standard digger for about 5 years now I thought I would give the Raptor a try. It to me is the BEST digger out there. The shovel style of the digger is perfect for getting the dirt out of the hole and still cuts beautifull plugs! I love my regular Lesche but I feel the Raptor is a step above the original.
