Lemons?

I have heard that if life gives you nothing but lemons that you should make lemonade.

Have any of your started a pull tab collection? I know that over the past 40 or so years, or however long those infernal things have been in existence, there have been many different styles of them.

It was either pull tab or bottle caps but it was a contest and there was a pile of them on a table. Had to guess how many and the closest got a decent prize.

Can you envision a lovely walnut wood frame surrounding a black velvet panel upon which are mounted several hundred cleaned and straightened pull tabs and aluminum screw tops? It could be mounted on a wall in a place of prominence in ones home with a spotlight illuminating it!

You could connect the beaver tails together to make Christmas tree garland.

Mark..

Over the years, I make it a rule...what i dig i take home! I must have a dozen or so coffee cans full of pull tabs and caps, Hotwheel cars and trucks, all types of keys. I also will never have to purchase lead weights ever again.

Have no clue what to do with what I have..worst part is that its still growing...

Jim, It's hard to tell or recommend to others what to do with their finds. I know what I do with my finds is my business. The pull tabs in your coffee cans are pure high-quality aluminum and worth more in weight versus the aluminum alloy used to make soda cans. I have never recommended anyone to make a donation for anything but the ronald mcdonald house is a worthy cause to donate pull tabs. Much better than just throwing them away. JJ

You could sell the keys made of brass to a scrap yard for 2-3 dollars a pound depending on the current price. Same with the lead weights.
I sell all of the non-collectible keys and pieces of copper pipe, fittings, etc., I find to a scrap yard when my lovely wife tells me to "get that junk out the basement."
I keep lead weights for casting bullets to use in my .45-70.
