How many of you use the Legacy 3300? What kind of depth do you get from it (deepest coin or target found)? Likes/dislikes?

I know the Discovery 3300 and Titan 3000XD are pretty much the same machine. Is the Legacy 3300 the same machine under another name? Kelly Co sells the Titan and Radio Shack sells the Discovery so who sells the Legacy 3300? I

I use the Discovery 3300.

I consistently get 8" depths accurately on coins. For me that is good enough. I get up to 12" on larger items

I agree with this as my Discovery 3300 will get that depth.

I just got a Legacy 3300 and have used it for just a couple hours down at the beach. I found a coin down at about 8 inches, but found a couple nails and bottle tops down about at about 10 inches. Note that some of this was actually below frozen sand which was at about 4 inches.

Gound balance didn't seem to be a big issue.

I asked BH about the 3300 and why they only show up online. Below is the response:

Thank you for contacting Bounty Hunter Metal Detectors.

Both the Legacy 3300 and the Discovery 3300 are current Bounty Hunter models. Both have a 5-yr warranty, and we will continue to service them for years after that.

The two detectors have similar performance but the Legacy is only sold to certain retailers.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Sincerely,
