Lee finishes another horse head sculpture for consignment.....

Below is sequence of 3 photo's showing the stages of the sculpting progress:

First is the basic head form

Second is the finished sculpture ready to be hardened in the oven

Third is Lee's finished horse head. She sprayed it with a hammered bronze paint, and then airbrushed a very dark brown in the nostrils, ears, eyes, then misted the nose slightly darker. She then rubbed in brown shoe polish, deep into the mane, then wiped off the excess, re-buffing the outer mane with a soft cloth. Then the whole thing is sprayed with a crystal clear acrylic, then the base is stained and finished.
