Funkyoldude thanks for the great tip,yes it is hard to take macro shots indoors, i have to take about 5 shots to get a good one in.

I've been experimenting with LEDs also. Thinking of buying or building a ring-lite, any recommendations? Diga-Slave will have a larger model in about 2 months. I have a ring flash but that does not solve the focusing problem. That's what I used on that little pipe, the pic isn't great but I wanted to document the details.

Lighting for macros is always a problem. Looks like a fairly simple, inexpensive solution. Good job!
